C.H. Brooks Esq.,
The Light Production Co.Ltd.,
60/66, Rochester Row,
Westminster, S.W.1.

Dear Mr. Brooks,

We want a dozen more 3 1/2" bore pistons.
The pistons you have supplied seem to be quite O.K. except for the distance between the bosses, which necessitated washers to get the correct clearance between the gudgeon pin small end and the piston. I do not know whether there is any chance of your being able to reduce this figure to 1.365", as on our standard pistons.

We should like to retain the .750" gudgeon pin, as this saves us making a new con. rod.

We are passing you our official order forthwith, and shall be glad to know how soon you will be able to supply these pistons.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
