Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} LE Smith Please take this matter up with E and get the modification instructed Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 32. EX. In order to dismantle the clutch casing, we had to remove the rear engine feet to allow the engine to drop low enough so as to be able to withdraw a set bolt on the N.S. of the casing. The same set bolt on the O.S. withdraws without difficulty, because the hole in the cross member has been cut away to take the clutch pedal mechanism. If the hole on the N.S. were to be elongated in a similar manner, the set bolt in question would withdraw without having to go to unnecessary trouble. We enclose an illustration to show what we mean.
