6059 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}16/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 16th March, 1939. Messrs. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} & W. Terence, Electric Lamp Manufacturers, 89, Mosley Street, MANCHESTER, 2. Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of the 14th March, we have to apologise for failing to reply to your letter of the 14th January. The gentleman who received your letter and the bulbs was subsequently transferred to our Aero Division, and, in consequence, has not followed up the job. This, however, is our internal organisation and should not have happened. We are returning the bulbs to you under separate cover, as they were tested in 1937/38 in conjunction with a Trippe lamp and rejected, and we have nothing to add to the statement made at that time. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
