C O P Y. +684 FHR10/T1813. August 1st. 1913. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} (Copies to Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, Day, By, E and Na.{Mr Nadin}) With reference to the show chassis at Conduit Street. It would look better if the present pattern of bronze sphere were fitted. I pointed this out to Mr Bailey, who said it could be easily changed. There is also very poor reason for the aluminium packings under the rubber buffers. These should be removed, and all four rubber made the same thichess, i.e. 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 ins. Back rubber buffers look much too thin. It is also certain that we could fit this chassis with one of the neater schemes of high tension wiring. We have had several on other cars which are quite good, and the wiring on this chassis is more scraggy than when I was last at the works. As we do not now fit the rear shock absorbers these should be removed. F.H.R. COPY. | ||
