TO HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} & BV. FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} cc to GC, BJ cc to HOR, EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} ORIGINAL RECEIVED DEC 29 1922 "SEAGULL" CYLINDER HEAD & INDUCTION PIPE. X9050 X9070 Regarding the "Seagull" cylinder head, and induction pipe, we are sending a pattern of the simplest arrangement that we have found, that promises perfection. We ought to try this simple arrangement first, and unless it is found to be imperfect we should not try any other arrangement until we can more easily spare the time. Perhaps you will be able to rig up some engine with similar pipes quickly, so that we can be getting some information about the scheme. You will see this mentioned in other memos. The design is leaving this week, with sketches. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
