To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X1166 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}2/JH.12.2.36. Phantom III Rear Jack Brackets. In memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}3/KW.3.2.36 we mentioned that it is necessary to alter the key-way 6° on the above brackets in order to bring the jacks vertical when under full load. We find, however, that production have already a number of these brackets finished with keyway in the old position as shown on G.83971 and as the axle tube keyways have not yet been cut, the modification will be carried out on the axle tubes. Further, the axle tubes which we have in the Exptl. have the keyways already cut in the old position and it will therefore be necessary to fit new brackets with the altered keyway position. It is suggested that the pattern for these brackets is built up, to take the new keyway, 6 castings taken off, then make the pattern as before, for production. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J.
