Attention Mr. C. S. Steadman

Gentlemen:

Thank you very much for your courteous letter of January 12, telling us that you had finally solved the fan belt drive problem you had. I only wish it had been possible for us to have offered you more help.

But developing a belt to solve a problem of this kind is a difficult thing to do quickly, and of course we realize that writing back and forth across the Atlantic does take time. Nevertheless, we are sincerely glad that you have this difficulty out of the way, because we know just what a headache something like this can be.

From all reports the Ferogrip belt is a very good one, and from our own somewhat limited experience with it, we do not believe you should have any cause for complaint. As this is a comparatively new fan belt, we have not had much opportunity to test it against our own product. For that reason, Mr. Steadman, we would be very grateful to you indeed if you would send us a couple, preferably of the size decided upon to take care of your own particular problem. We would like very much to run them against the sample belts we sent you on various competitive tests, so that we can check our own product. We would be glad to pay you for these two sample belts, of course, if you will let us know what they come to.

It has been a pleasure working with you, Mr. Steadman, and although we weren't able to be of much help to you in this particular instance, we certainly hope that we will have the opportunity to work with you again. Your cooperation and courtesy has been much appreciated, and we want you and your organization to continue to feel that we are not only ready to serve you at any time that we possibly can, but eager to do so as well.

Cordially,
C.A.Winser
