We completed our pressure tests of the Clutch and Crankcase last night, and came to the conclusion that the oil in the Clutch case was not due to differences in pressure, but to a mechanical fault.

We therefore, dismantled the bottom pan of the Engine. We found proof, that oil had been escaping through the joint. The back portion of the Crankcase being a loose piece and fitted and held by studs, was not making a sealed joint, due to it being a shade shorter than the actual facing of the Crankcase.

We have increased the thickness of the jointing washers at this point, also, we have fitted an aluminum scroll to lessen the tendency of the oil to swish over during acceleration. We shall be in a position after to-day's running, to say whether it has been a success or not.

The test of the Crankchamber shows the effect of the Crankshaft. On the N.S. there is no pressure, while on the O.S. there is a pressure, as you will notice by the results :-
