(Attention Mr. R.W.H. Bailey)

Dear Mr. Johnson: RE Fabric Friction Discs for Damping Flywheel

With reference to yours of March 16th re. the above subject, we are sending to you under separate cover one half dozen woven fabric discs which are supposed to be endless and also one half dozen bakelite discs which have much less than the usual amount of bakelite in their composition.

We have found these soft discs to be very satisfactory and are seriously considering their standardization.

We think it would be well if Mr. Hives tested both kinds of discs and make a report as to which he considers the best from all points of view.

Yours faithfully,

ROLLS ROYCE OF AMERICA, INC.
