Re Zenith Filters.

We have recently had occasion to draw Mr. Cowen's attention to requisitions which have been received from Cricklewood for Zenith Filters.

We give below copy of C's reply on the matter for consideration :-

C5/C8.3.27.
"I am not quite certain how far the experiments have got with the Zenith Filter, but I understand they have got far enough to say that these effect a vast improvement from the point of view of filtering, and as this choking of jets is a very real trouble, more particularly in cars which are used constantly round about London, we think the best thing would be to let us know the opinion of the Experimental Dept. and the Works generally, as to whether there would be any objection to Cricklewood fitting this filter when requested to do so by customers, and at customers' expense - look upon it, if you wish, as more a customer's special requirement than something that we are standardising or even recommending.

If you can go as far as that, then we suggest you send a couple to fill the requirements of the two customers in question."

If you will kindly let us have your remarks we will communicate same to C.
