Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} has pointed out that the springs GW.1073 in the cross and front side steering tube joints can be purchased at 1/4 of the present cost if Salter's high carbon steel is not specified.

As the stress in these springs is not exceptionally high and there is no stress range, we agree to omitting this specification.
