5840 C.W.Hancock Esq., Hotel de France, Chateauroux, Indre, FRANCE. From Ha/Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} Ha/Les.23/MJ.10.8.34. 21-G-1V. RUBBER ENGINE MOUNTING. "We are giving Bowering two top front rubbers F.60398 for 21-G-1V. The rubbers now in 21-G-1V were produced in America. These are the first samples of the rubbers which will be fitted in chassis which are due in the Test Dept. in 7 weeks. It is therefore very important that you should get them on the car. The rubbem which Bowering is taking, are the ones which are most liable to fail. We are however a little alarmed at the rubbers at the top of the gearbox. These are only a very soft rubber. We are getting hold of some harder rubbers which we should like you to test. Naturally we should prefer to use hardest rubber provided it gives equally good results. As we are now having to order up rubbers for the first 150 chassis we should like to know if you have any criticism where this rubber engine mounting requires improvement. Ha/I.A.Leslie. | ||
