X. 2894 - RE CONTACT POINTS FROM REMY 12 CYLINDER IGNITION SET X.2814.X.1818. These points were not attacked by acids and submitted to treatment only after being attacked by aluminium. They appear to be a platinum-gold alloy with traces of the rarer metals as impurities. The approximate analysis is Au. 75% Pt. 25% Tests were difficult owing to small quantity of alloy available.
