contd :- -3- about to build up, leads us to believe that what you may be feeling is road shocks which are transmitted to the steering wheel. It is not necessary to travel over a rough road to produce high speed steering wobbles - in fact we can produce them with the car stationary and the front wheels revolving on perfectly smooth drums. As you are aware, there are a number of R-R cars similar to yours which have done considerable running and have never experienced high speed steering wobbles. On experimental tests during the last year we have completed 60,000 miles running in France and had no occasion of high speed wobbles when the car was adjusted as we recommend. We can assure you that the troubles you point out are fully appreciated. Considerable improvements have already been made and further improvements are contemplated which will make the steering as near perfect as possible. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
