re A.T. SPEEDOMETERS.
---------------------

Confirming our conversation with BY/RD., this morning, we still seem to be getting too many complaints of defective trip and mileage recorders on the latest instruments.

We were hoping that the new instruments with larger figures were going to be more reliable but this does not seem to be the case.

During the last six months there have been 18 complaints of defective trip or mileage recorders on the latest type of instruments.

These instruments have been very strongly criticised by Mr. Hattersley, who owns a Phantom III, chassis No. 3.AZ-82. The original instrument proved defective and the replacement instrument failed in the same way after running only 100 miles.

We think this matter should be taken up with the makers.
