Will you please instruct for a billet of AC.6 bearing material to be cast, suitable for making 2 complete bearings to the following rough machined dimensions. Outside dia. 4.5". Inside dia. 4.0". Width 1.625". In this condition to be given a heat treatment of 12 hrs. by Hl. and after inspection to note that the material is free from porosity to be despatched to :- Mr.P.Berthon. E.R.A.Ltd., Bourne, Lincs. In conjunction with the above bearing 4 shims in R R.{Sir Henry Royce} 56 to the following dimensions to be despatched. Length 1.625. Width 1.250. Thickness .100 +2.
