U R G E N T.

We send you herewith LeC.4626 of a strengthened aluminium push rod for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III. The diameter has been increased from .312 to .375" with a resultant increase in strength of 50%, and an increase in weight from .091 lbs. to .123 lbs. The effect of the increase in weight on the total inertia of the system is only 4%.

It is considered that the vent holes, at which one of the failures occurred, are unnecessary and they have been deleted.

The clearance for the push rod in the cylinder head casting will be reduced by a larger diameter push rod and this point should be watched on assembly.

E/PSN.

Att: LeC.4626.
