X4400 Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /C14/H. 25.6.25. "INDIA" FRONT ROAD SPRING LUBRICATORS. With reference to HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 9/LG. 15.6.25. we have already pointed out to Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} that some modification is required to the lubricator on the rear gaiter of the front road spring, in addition to which we have sent him a scheme showing an elbow fitting to receive the Enots adapter, but have had no reply. We instructed a set of elbow fittings to be produced experimentally some time ago, and suggest that they are fitted and tried out experimentally. If we could adopt the elbow fitting it would not only prevent the Enots fouling the underside of the chassis frame, on maximum bump, but would also overcome the present difficulty which we have in regard to fixing the right angle connection of the grease gun.
