For the attention of Mr.W.E.Robinson.

Dear Sirs,

We are making arrangements to return to you a further head lamp foot switch which has again failed on our Endurance Test Rig after 25,000 operations. In each case it is the operating contacts which failed and we would strongly recommend that the stress in these contacts be reduced in order to put up their life, as at the moment they seriously impair the ultimate life of the other contacts which give quite satisfactory results.

We should be glad if you could give this matter attention and we should like three further switches with modified contacts in order to continue our tests forthwith.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
