Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Jones.

20 HP. RUBBER ENGINE MOUNTING BLOCKS.

With further reference to your letter of the 20 th. February 1929, and our letter of the 7th. March last.

This matter has been in abeyance owing to re-consideration of design. We now, however, require some of these blocks with somewhat higher rating than previously specified.

We send you a sample rubber block which is about the rating we require, but the hole finally used for the block will be 500. In this design the block will not be encased top and bottom by cups as on the 40/50 foot that you have but can be tested by holding the block between two flat plates and applying the load centrally.

We should like you to supply two sets of blocks (12 of each). One set to deflect as nearly as possible .175" under a load of 400 lbs., and the other to give .200" deflection under the same load. The free length to be as per model 1.250", with a ¼" clearance centre hole.

On the model which we are sending to you we think that the block has been diaboloed rather more than is altogether desirable.

Whilst you are making these blocks we should like you to produce a further dozen in the mix which you used for our standard 40/50 engine feet No.F.80057, free length 1.150".
