With reference to the Experimental chassis on which is mounted a Beaton Allweather body which you will recollect proved unsatisfactory in France, the coachbuilders are very anxious indeed to be allowed to replace the existing fittings of this body with others of a new and improved design, which they consider will prove satisfactory.

In view of the fact that 'R' is interested in the possibilities of the Beaton body on account it its lightness of weight, and consequent suitability from this point of view for the 20 h.p.chassis, we think it would be a good plan to give the makers an opportunity of endeavouring to make the body satisfactory. Will you please go into the matter and let me know whether you can spare the car to come to London for the purpose in question?
