EAC.10 WATER PUMP.

Please find attached blue print of LeC.2521 shewing modified water pump gland for EAC.10.

Our original design was not up-to-date with Derby practice as it did not shew the spring between the glands.

In making this alteration we have specially arranged the length of the intermediate gland pieces so that the spring compressed chock-o-bloc. This allows room for the passage of lubricant to the glands.

We are enquiring if any rusting is experienced with the enamelled steel spring used on production.

In designing the pump we put in a smaller spindle than the Phantom, .437 instead of .562, with the object of reducing the surface speed at the gland.
