Mr. Eric Milner,
Messrs. Benton & Stone Ltd.
Bracebridge St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}
Birmingham.

Dear Sirs,

Petrol Filters.

We are anxious to reduce the quantity of petrol carried in our filter. The reason for this is that, with the general adoption of petrol pumps, it is desirable to have the minimum capacity in the pipe line between the petrol pump and the tank so that it will pump from dry in the shortest possible time.

We attach a sketch indicating the way we have modified one of your filters to get what we require. The chief modification is in the size of the bowl but we should also like to cut down the quantity of fuel carried in the inside of the plates.

We should be glad if you would give this matter your consideration and let us have your recommendations with preferably a model to test, as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
