22nd October, 1940.

Messrs. Wilmot Breeden
Eastern Works,
Camden Street,
BIRMINGHAM 1.

Attention of Mr. Spicer.

Dear Mr. Spicer,

Thank you for your letter confirming your visit. I am glad the various components which we discussed during your visit are being worked on.

LOCKS - I note that you are having another special lock completed, which we shall be able to have fitted to the Bentley. I also note that you are having the locks for the new body modified on the lines which we discussed. This will be very helpful as, once we have established a suitable type, any small modifications necessary can be made to suit our particular car.

Up to the present I have been unable to get anyone working on the doors, to enable us to give you the necessary information. I will bear this in mind and let you have what you need as soon as possible.

SNAP-ON HANDLES - I note that you have a very interesting handle with an adjustable escutcheon and am glad that it shows promise of being successful.

SUN VISORS - Regarding the masonite board, I agree with you that this is the best possible material for this purpose and, when the piece which you are obtaining comes to hand, I will have it fitted to a car.

VENTILATING WINDOW MECHANISM - I am glad your research people are dealing with this problem and that there is hope of their producing something which is in advance of anything now on the market, and I look forward to your being able to let me see this during your next visit.

WINDOW REGULATORS AND ASH TRAYS - I note your remarks.

I should be obliged if you could let me have a drawing of your dash ventilator.

Thanking you and with kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
