c Eo 1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}5/JH. 8th. November, 1939. Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, LONDON.N.W.10. For the attention of Mr. Ward. Dear Sirs, As we explained to you during your visit to the Works yesterday we are having constant trouble with water leaks at the bottom corners of the windscreen, in the case of 33.G.7. it was particularly bad. We have carried out an experiment on 33.G.7. to cure the leaks, but have not had the car in any severe storm as yet, however, it stands up to the nose pipe. As the method used was demonstrated to you it is not necessary to explain again here, but we enclose a sketch of the screens, the explanation of these are as follows:- A Shows the screens as now supplied. B This is the new scheme on 33.G.7. with drains. C Is how we think the job could be tackled when building the new car. D Is an alternative to C. As already mentioned by Mr. Evernden, water can possibly be pumped up the quirks on the bottom corners in many cases, but in the case of 33.G.7. this car had not quirks.
