X8650 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. EFC2/T30.10.24. X.8650. SILENT STARTER GEAR. ACTUATOR BOX UNIT. Herewith we return to you the actuator box unit. To make this in accordance with our present version of the Specification of production, adjustment and test, it is necessary to (1) Adjust the lock nuts which determine the travel of the plunger to give a travel of .350 + 25 (2) Alter the controlling spring of the contact lever such that the pressure on the contacts is brought within the limits 12 and 20 ozs. The combined main switch and relay switch unit will follow shortly for readjustment, after which, and previous to putting on the chassis, it will be advisable for these to be returned to us for combined test of all units connected up together.
