By Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3009 Sft{Mr Swift}2/BH.26.5.33. 20/25 HP. Chassis Oil Pumps. During the last few weeks, we have had 22 Oil Pumps returned by Test Dept. as noisy Pumps. Upon inspection no obvious fault could be found which could cause this trouble. We have had the Pressure Release Slot machined in the cases similar to the slots that existed before (you will remember this slot was deleted quite recently) and of the above mentioned 22 Pumps, 21 were entirely cured by the introduction of the machined slot, and on the other odd Pump, in addition to the slot, we had to change the Gears. We are not saying that the deletion of the slot should be cancelled, but we do ask that you give this matter your serious consideration. Sft.{Mr Swift} | ||
