The following is a report of accident which occurred recently in France.

"July 5th. 1924. As I was proceeding along the Avenue D' Orleans opposite the Church Saint Pierre de Montrouge en route for Chateauroux at about 3 p.m. on Sat. afternoon the 5th.inst. I had occasion to pull up to allow some passengers to alight from a tram. On moving off, when the car had attained a speed of between, 5 and 10 m.p.h., the rear O.S. wing tipped the hub of a hand cart. As the accident occurred in the rear of the car, I was unable to see what happened; apparently the sudden movement of the shafts upset the boy (who was seated on one of these), and trapped the extremity of the second finger of his (Right?) hand. After he had been treated by a Chemist, we took the boy to a Hospital where on further examination a doctor pronounced the end of the finger to be crushed. We left the boy there for the finger to be X rayed; he appeared to have sustained no further damage. We gave particulars of the insurance to agent of Police No.7485, Paris who was present.
The boy, aged 16, named Felix Carrisse lives at -

74bis Jardins do Arrondissement,
Rue Marty,
Carenton, Seine.

Witnesses of the accident - F.{Mr Friese} Dodd, 2 Noble St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Derby,
L. Shepard.

Sgd. W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham.
