Mr. Hancock from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

With reference to the report on 93-NK car dated 13.6.25. We should like more information when you have a case of boiling. In this case you give the air temperature as 28°C. There have been instances quoted where the air temperature has been higher or as high without boiling. We should like to know whether it was full power on the level, or whether it was climbing a hill and also whether the shutters in the bonnet were being used, also whether, if the shutters were not used, if boiling would be prevented if they were used. During the present hot weather, it is an excellent opportunity to collect a considerable amount of data on engine boiling. We are especially anxious to know the limitations of the EAC. We therefore want you to let us have as much detailed information as possible. If the car boils on the level, a test should be taken each way so as to discount the direction of the wind.
