Origin. To prevent brake inefficiency when wet and eliminate low speed jaggers. Report of Experimental Test. Fitted to 1-B-IV, 2-B-IV, 4-B-IV, and running 10,000 miles on 5-B-IV. The first 300 sets on production will be the same as those fitted in complaint cases, as the drums have been machined. Afterwards the external protecting rim will be made integral with the drum.
