S E C R E T - EAC.11.

We assume it is understood that as it has been agreed that we can take a 40/50 HP. car fitted with an EAC.11. engine to R.{Sir Henry Royce} at W.W., this will necessitate us carrying out short preliminary tests on the road before we go.

When we wrote to R.{Sir Henry Royce} and told him we were bringing an EAC.11. car, it was on the assumption that we should be allowed to prepare the car, as long as we complied with the instructions for secrecy laid down by you.

[Handwritten annotations:]
I understand this is in every respect a standard 40-50 except engine? Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [Signature]
