TO Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} (struck through) FROM CWB

40/50 HP STEERING.

Reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG27.3.26, I had not contemplated that any arrangements on a wholesale scale should be made to have these suggested stiffening brackets fitted, but I had hoped that xxxx (struck through) in the two specific cases of complaint, i.e. Geoffrey Summers and 53-LC - Charters, it would be possible, that you had decided by experiment that the stiffener was an obvious advantage in this respect, to obtain approval for them to be fitted in order to satisfy the complaining customer.
(Handwritten note: When)

Please let me know whether you consider it will be possible to carry through the matter on these lines, always presuming that you are satisfied with the experimental results.
