1293 Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Les.9/MH. {M. Huckerby} 4th. March 1938. The Packless Gland Co. Ltd., Windmill Road, Sunbury-on-Thames, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr.Lund. Dear Sirs, Thank you for your letter of the 3rd. instant referring to our part EX.S.497, we should like you to produce these as shown on your print BGA.3841. Actually we should prefer the washer to be sunk .030" deeper into part No. EX.S. 493. This would take .030" off the free length of the bellows, but would give the required clearance. If there is any difficulty in using a shorter free length for the bellows will you please proceed with these parts exactly as shown on your print. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
