For the attention of Mr Donald Sessions.

Dear Sirs,

There is one small point in connection with the controls on the hand operated pump which we think could be improved quite easily. We consider that the arrows indicating the direction of rotation of the three valves are not sufficiently clear, the heads and tails appearing too much alike when the handles are dirty and viewed in a poor light.

We should like you to arrange on all future deliveries to delete the tails of the arrows entirely and to increase the size of the heads as much as is possible without running into the edge of the disc.

We do not know how far you have gone with making tools for producing these indicating discs, but we are not entirely happy about the arrangement of the wording on them and we think we may be able to improve on it.

We will let you know more on this a little later, but in the meantime we suggest that you do not spend any money on tools for producing these discs.

Yours faithfully,
For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE Limited

A.G.ELLIOTT

CHIEF DESIGNER.
