| For File Accident 18 GIV X4199a. Previous to the accident R. {Sir Henry Royce} Black had taken over the car. R. {Sir Henry Royce} Black had been driving the car for 20 Mls. When near the Cross Road sign he sounded his horn & eased up a little. I then saw a car coming along the road on the right hand side approaching the Cross Roads this I pointed out to Black who immediately braked heavily the car going over to the left hand side, the O.S. hub striking the Dumb irons of the other car 18 GIV then went straight in to a bank 2 ft high & finished on the grass by the side of the road. My opinion is had he not braked so heavily he may have had more chance of avoiding the accident possibly getting through.
