I fitted the 2,500 lb springs in the side steering tube of the above chassis and gave it a lengthy trial during the last week end, under all sorts of conditions possible. Taking it all round I consider these springs to be an improvement on the standard 3,500 lb. I found the road shocks materially reduced without any real disadvantage in respect of control at high speeds, lack of selectiveness etc., so on the whole I am decidedly in favour of a reduction in strength. I feel we might even go a shade further. Have you any 2,000 lb springs, or could you obtain them, or do you think that 1,000 lb steps are the smallest it is worth troubling about? CWB. | ||
