Y8774 (Handwritten, crossed out) Y8830 (Handwritten) X8771 (Handwritten) Results not good enough: we must do better before going into production. How? We must lighten and simplify the car, especially body. A 17 tooth axle is absolutely necessary. Use thin oil (Shell super, sperm.) Valves - increase springs for 3000 rpm., test with oscillagraph. Cams - heavy acceleration - should be 58 divisions duration, and 110° between = 2 present exhausts. Work for 100 BMEP. @ 3000 = 170 BHP. Must have at least 150 BHP. = 90. Increase clutch stop brake. (DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/HDY{William Hardy} sending particulars.) Fill up engine better - say with Stromberg carburetter. The car must have - DASH REINFORCED. STEERING - new box, larger worm, .9 pitch, (N.sch. 2431.) LOUVRED BONNET. DO OVER 90 MPH., and London traffic on top. The body should not exceed 7 cwt. The shape is very good. It is only necessary to construct it strong and light. This weight should include windscreen, cushion wings, steps, lamps, and provision for carrying spare wheel. It must have EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}'s tail design, finishing in horizontal number plate, which/should be registered. design (Handwritten) Concealed hood should be provided, & metal tonneau cover.
