R1/M29.1.26.

NEXT 20 HP. CHASSIS FOR 10,000 MILES. X.5770 X.5840a.

This I think should wait for a few more parts that have to be tested, (including the con. rods with separate bushes, the design of which E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} is perfecting here, and will be sent direct to Derby on Monday,) so the important items are :-

(1) Steering - large worm and slower.
(2) Dash with steering support.
(3) Carburetter - lighter valve, and I hope increased throat and throttle for more power.
(4) Front axle - improved strength against ex brake torque.
(5) Increased effectiveness of front shock dampers.
(6) New con. rods etc.

I think the car should be sent to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence as a part of its 10,000 miles trial.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
