To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. from G/Rb.{R. Bowen} 1260 - G/Rb.{R. Bowen}5/K/73/R.14.5.38. Wraith Radiator Mounting - SEC.5250,7000 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.7/MH.{M. Huckerby}11.5.38. We have compared the costs of the two schemes for the Wraith Radiator mounting , i.e.SCD.569 with"Firestone" Mounting Block No.42234 and the standard mounting on the Wraith production chassis, the result, showing a saving in factory cost of approximately 4/6d per chassis on the former scheme. In the cost of the new type mounting (SCD.569), we have estimated the"Firestone" Mounting Block as bought out at a cost of 1/- each. Consideration should of course be given to the question of tool costs incurred in respect of existing pieces. G/Rb.{R. Bowen} | ||
