"Sarona", 61, Stanley Road, Cheriton, Folkestone. 25th January, 1934. - Ives Esq., Experimental Dept., Rolls Royce Works, Derby. Dear Sir, I trust that you will excuse my presumption in writing to you but I think that the details which I have to put before you will prove of great interest. For some considerable time, I have been engaged in evolving an invention which is admirably suited for cars of the Rolls Royce and Bentley type. The invention relates, among other things, to a new and improved bonnet for motor driven road vehicles and whilst being inexpensive to manufacture, is very simple in operation and enables the driver to gain immediate access to the engine without the necessity of releasing catches or lifting the bonnet. The idea, also enhances the beauty of the lines of the car and could be adopted without appreciable alteration of any description. Should you be at all interested in the invention in question, I will be pleased to forward you a copy of the Specification for your perusal. Thanking you in anticipation of your kind consideration, I am Sir. Yours faithfully, Davidson | ||
