the old method of assembling the instrument in two halves.

We think that the instrument should be treated as a complete unit for installation purposes rather than a divided unit as at present.

We are sending you for your inspection and remarks, two complete gauge sets, with these modifications incorporated; one of them only having the spring fixing.

So as to keep our records in order, we are delivering these gauges under our advice-note No. 29349, marked for the attention of W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham, Esq., Experimental Department, and booking them off your contract for production gauges in the usual way. If this does not work in satisfactorily with your requirements, we will alter our entries accordingly if you will advise us.

Assuring you at all times of our best attention,

We remain, dear Sirs,

Yours faithfully,

H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} HOBSON, Ltd.,

Joint Managing Director.
