Your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}35/KW25. 11. 35. C. has asked me to enquire whether in the second line, second paragraph of your memo, where you refer to "latest type of clutch' you mean the light type of RR. clutch which came on to 'E' series. If you do mean this, we agree that it would possibly be best to wait and see what sort of results we get from 'E' series onwards. The original clutch gave, and gives, a lot of trouble and there will be no difficulty in finding recurrent cases for redress if later on a change to Borg & Beck clutches is decided on. If the light clutch fitted from 'E' series onwards with light flywheel is a success can it be fitted to earlier series at less expense than the £23 for the Borg & Beck? H.{Arthur M.
