R.R. 402A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H.,D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. 9940 REF: HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AGLA/LGS.1.24. HISPANO FOUR WHEEL BRAKES. Measurements were taken of the front brake cam only. Its effective radius when braking is .37. PRESSURES AT CENTRE OF EACH SHOE AVAILABLE FOR BRAKING IN REVERSE DIRECTION ( NO SERVO ). * P 10 X 3.22 X 2.75 X 2 -------------------------- = 5.55 P 2.51 X 4 X 4.305 X .75 Ad there is no compensating gear between front and rear brakes it may be assumed that the pressures at shoes will be the same. .. 5.55 P will be the effective pressure at centre of each shoe available for braking when car is going backwards. | ||
