With reference to BJ2/E26.11.28. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is at present at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town.

The parts that have been tested for less than 5000 miles are :-

Frame.
Front axle.
Engine and gearbox.
Radiator.
Shock absorbers.

These have now done about 500 miles on the road and 24 1/2 hrs. on the bump test with the results shewn in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/LG5.12.28.

All the main improvements we are working for are on the first car. The few standard pieces we are retaining in the engine can be superceded if necessary without any major or external modification. The cost should not be appreciably different whenever they are brought in.

With reference to the period elapsing between the time the first V.{VIENNA} series car was on the road and the announcement was made public. The history of this chassis was given in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG19.11.28. We understand that the announcement was made on May 2nd. 1925. The first car that approximated to V.{VIENNA} series was on the road at the end of Dec.1924 but a complete V.{VIENNA} series car was not made until March 1925.
