Messrs. Peto & Radford,
50, Grosvenor Gardens,
London, S.W.1.

Dear Sirs,

Further to ours of the 5th inst. under cover of which we sent copy of our reports JC.109/112, and to our conversation with your Mr. Preston during his visit to us on Tuesday last, we now attach copy of two further such reports JC.114/115.

The former of these is concerned with the cell which was opened up in the presence of your Mr. Preston and found to be badly sulphated. This was duly examined by himself and as arranged with him we are taking the necessary steps to have this set of elements forwarded to your Dagenham Works.

The latter of these two reports refers to a third cell which has failed in a manner similar to the two which we previously reported but which was not opened up until after Mr. Preston's visit.

Whilst returning this set of elements, and as arranged with your Mr. Minchin during a recent visit of his, we are taking the opportunity of returning the following material in connection with our FA.11 cells, which material we do not require, and we shall be pleased if you can see your way to giving us a small credit for this material which comprises -

160 Glass tubes. - 8 were broken
48 Cell supporting glass feet. - 2 were broken
12 Lead cable ends.
30 Lead washers.

Contd.
