To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c.c. to EJ. Mor. ✓ c.c. to RO.{C. C. Rose - Export Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ✓ c.c. to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} EY. ✓ PHANTOM THROTTLE. L8140 We have had a car running fitted with the roller bearings in the throttle spindle. The lag on the governor control is very considerably reduced - it now only amounts to one notch on the hand control lever. It very closely approximates to the Silver Ghost control.
