Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 81085. S/W. [Crossed out: To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}] c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/D25.6.31. Re: Bonnet Ventilators. Thanks for Worl/GR.{George Ratcliffe}20.6.31. I saw the new flip-flap shutters yesterday on 25-EX. I was not altogether satisfied with their appearance and understood from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} that the same remarks apply to WW. The position, therefore, really is that before I dare ask you to fit them to the Show Cars, I feel it is necessary to see a set of the modified type. I do not know now long you can wait for this decision, but I imagine not very long. Possibly, therefore, the best thing to do will be to fit the Show Cars with the present type sliding shutters and carry on with these until we have been able to see and approve of the flip-flap type.
