31st March, 1932.

Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 23rd instant, and the reason we have not replied before is because of the intervening holiday.

We notice you are anxious to prove the merits of the regulator controlled dynamo as compared with the usual third brush machine, and for this purpose we think it advisable that you test our dynamo complete with regulator. In this connection we would suggest our high speed type DBR dynamo, and we shall be very glad to forward you one for test.

In order to ensure success with this type of dynamo, it is essential that the dynamo be designed in conjunction with the regulator, consequently we cannot see that you will get a satisfactory test using our B2 regulator with your dynamo, as we have no data of this.

We enclose herewith an output curve P66 of the DBR dynamo, also a laboratory curve L443 charging curve using DBR dynamo and 63 ampere hour battery, and L442 showing output characteristics of the DBR dynamo. If there is any further information you require, we shall be glad to be of assistance to you.

Assuring you of our best endeavours at all times,

We are,
Yours faithfully,
C.A.V - BOSCH Ltd.
