To Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} (FOR DEPOT SHEET) 4522 HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}16/KW.20.3.35. Bentley Stabilising Bumper Bars. A case has occurred of the Ø.375 nut which secures the Bob weights and the chromium plated bar to the two spring leaves working loose. This nut is at present a plain one with spring washer, and should be replaced by a castellated nut, split-pinned as on the attached HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1845. Will you please carry out this modification to all Bumper Bars as they are fitted to chassis, and also on Bumpers already supplied to customers as the cars become available.
