PAGE (SHOWROOMS - 40 CONDUIT STREET) 473 HIGH ROAD, WILLESDEN LONDON, N. W. 10 TELEPHONE: WILLESDEN 2595 (6 LINES) TELEGRAMS: WAREPAR, WILLROAD, LONDON PLEASE QUOTE FOLLOWING REF. NAT/MO. 21st July, 1937. Messrs. Bentley Motors (1931), Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, You will remember that in your report of the Wide Entrance Bentley Saloon you mentioned that the aluminium stone shields had been cut by stones and dropped away. In an effort to obtain something with a longer life, we have obtained some steel mesh shields galvanised finish which we should like tested. As we have no suitable car ourselves which we can keep under observation it occurred to us that G-B-IV. which we have for repairs should be fitted with them and we should be glad to have your permission, if you agree, and your report after a suitable mileage has been run. We must tell you that an increase of weight of 2 1/2 lbs. per shield results although the gauge of the steel is less than the aluminium used on the wide entrance body. May we ask you to be good enough to reply by return as we are now waiting to mount the wings. Yours faithfully, for PARK WARD & CO. LTD. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} A.{Mr Adams} Thompson | ||
